Advance Scores High in Officer Satisfaction Survey

Advance has reported impressive results from the latest officer satisfaction survey, carried out earlier this year throughout April and May.

The survey is conducted across our entire site based security personnel and we have seen the response rate almost double this time round.  This is in no small part thanks to the efforts of our operations team who have listened to the comments picked up on previous surveys and worked hard to ensure the agreed actions have been carried out.  What’s more impressive are the overall scores, which have seen satisfaction levels rising significantly since the last survey six months ago.

The survey looks at satisfaction levels in four key areas – management support, centralised support, training and professional development and communication – as well as looking at the overall satisfaction levels of our officers.  Scores have increased significantly in all key areas with overall satisfaction levels rising to nearly 90%.

The most notable increase was for management support with satisfaction levels exceeding 80%, demonstrating the day-to-day support our officers receive from our team of Customer Service Managers (CSMs) and Account Managers.  Scores were also high for the support provided by our teams of Shift Operations Managers (SOMs), who provide a second tier of management support to all our officers across the UK.

Satisfaction levels increased significantly with regards to communication with scores rising to 79%.  In particular scores were highest with regards to the content and frequency of our main communications with the officers including the monthly bulletin ‘Hold the Back Page’ and regular newsletter ‘Advance Edge’. As an organisation, we are committed to keeping our employees fully engaged and abreast of any developments within Advance and such improvements in the scores for communication reflect this.

We do however understand that there are still a number of areas we can improve on, and despite such positive results, we are not simply resting on our laurels.  We have already put action plans in place to follow up on the issues picked up by this latest survey which we will discuss with the officers on an individual basis over the coming weeks.
