Advance Achieves UK-wide Approved Contractor Status

Advance Security has gained Approved Contractor status in Northern Ireland.

The specialist manned guarding and technologies provider is accredited to serve the length and breadth of the UK by continuing to meet the SIA’s Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) criteria in England, Scotland, Wales and now Northern Ireland.

Three years since the proposal to extend the SIA’s remit to Northern Ireland was first put out for public consultation in 2006, training leading to the SIA approved qualifications was launched at the start of 2009 and the Authority began accepting licence applications from May onwards. Advance Security successfully completed its submission in November and is wholly supportive of the sector’s strive for professional recognition by way of voluntary accreditation. 

Advance Security has been an SIA Approved Contractor in England and Wales since 2006 and was one of the first providers to achieve equivalent status when the Scottish scheme was introduced in 2007.
