Advance Builds on Scottish Portfolio

Following the extension of Advance Security’s operations into the public sector last year, the company has further expanded its portfolio north of the border with several significant Scottish contract wins.

In the Scottish capital, Advance has been successful in a tender to provide manned guarding services to a number of sites on behalf of The City of Edinburgh Council. In a two year contract with further options to extend, Advance will provide a range of static security services to local authority buildings, including offices and council works depots. Duties will include various guarding services such as gatehouse security, access and egress control, patrolling and building security, as well as providing a customer service front of house function. The new account allows the potential to develop the service offering as the contract progresses, with more council owned sites transferring to the main contract, some of which will require key holding services in addition to manned guarding.

In a further substantial Scottish contract win Advance has been appointed to provide manned guarding to a significant public sector organisation. The two year contract will see Advance supply manned guarding to a number of sites across Scotland, including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee, Paisley, Hamilton, and further locations as required. The contract includes the provision of permanent guarding, ad hoc project guarding, mobile coverage and key holding services.

In addition Advance has been successful in a competitive tender to provide manned guarding services to Rohm and Haas at Grangemouth oil refinery near Falkirk.   Rohm and Haas is a global manufacturer of speciality and performance materials and Advance has won a three year contract to provide twenty-four hour manned guarding to the site.

Expanding on its current relationship with Muller Professional Services, Advance has also been appointed to supply manned guarding at the Clydesdale Bank Exchange in Glasgow.  The office building is multi-tenanted and Advance Officers will provide security services and front of house duties in a three year contract.   Advance currently provides a similar service to a building managed by Muller Professional Services in Edinburgh’s Exchange district, and was appointed to the new contract based on first class service delivery and exceptional customer service levels.

Advance managing director, Richard Bailey comments “These contract wins reflect a conscious decision by the Advance management team to enhance and develop our current Scottish portfolio. Advance Security has established a successful presence in Scotland over the last few years and we are keen to extend our operations even further during the next 12 months.”

The expansion of the Advance Security Scottish portfolio follows the recent success of Advance’s retail division north of the border, which is currently providing manned guarding to a number of significant retailers in Scotland including supermarket giant Tesco.
