CCTV Team Commended by Police are Yorkshire Winners of  2012 Security Awards

Advance Security has been selected as the Yorkshire winner of the 'Best Use of Technology' category in the regional heats of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) Security Personnel Awards 2012.

The award was won by Advance Security's CCTV monitoring team at Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council, Halifax, whose "work ethic, professionalism and 'star quality'" were commended by the Council.

The three man team is responsible for the continuous monitoring of town centre cameras across the entire borough.Their attention to detail and quick reactions have helped West Yorkshire Police with 295 arrests and more than 2,100 assists during 2011.

Richard Bailey, Managing Director of Advance Security said: "We're very proud of the team. They've worked together with professionalism and dedication to achieve a consistently excellent level of service to the Council and the community. The team has formed a very strong partnership working alongside the Police, who have highlighted their invaluable role on a number of occasions."

The team was also recognised in 2010 in the IFSEC Security Industry Awards in the Best Policing Partnership category. They will now be entered into the national heats, where winners will be announced at the BSIA Annual Lunch in July.
