Advance Security Wins at Extreme Sports

Advance Security has been awarded a prestigious contract to provide manned guarding services at Xscape-Castleford, the award winning visitor attraction described by Xscape as ‘Yorkshire’s ultimate entertainment destination’.

In a three year deal with a contract value of approximately £1 million, Advance Security will provide manned guarding to the site which is the size of six football pitches and 38 meters high. 

Xscape-Castleford offers a unique combination of 430,00 sq ft of extreme sports and leisure facilities all under one roof, including the UK’s biggest real snow slope, two rock climbing walls, an aerial assault course, indoor skateboard park, Laserzone, bowling alleys, a multiplex cinema, 17 bars and restaurants and ten urban retail outlets, which combined require an exacting mix of both corporate and retail security services.

The wide range of facilities offered at Xscape leads to a variety of visitor types, with a trend towards families and groups during the day and partygoers in the evening. As a result the security provision needs to be flexible and officers are required to employ a range of skills including customer care, door supervision, first aid and CCTV expertise to effectively deal with the diverse clientele. Demonstrating the ability to respond effectively to such stipulations, Advance won the contract via a comprehensive tender process.
