Imperial War Museum North

Advance Security Imperial War Museum North (IWMN) is the latest high profile location to benefit from Advance Security's guarding experience.

Matthew Howard, sales manager, is delighted with the new contract, "To provide guarding for such a high profile attraction is further evidence of Advance Security becoming an industry leader in the public space security sector. Our ability to provide bespoke, thorough and cost effective security solutions means that our reputation continues to grow."

Opened in 2002 as part of The Quays regeneration programme in Trafford, the museum has become a must see tourist attraction in the area, with over 1,350,000 visitors to date. One of the most talked about museums in Britain today, IWMN is about people and their stories, about how lives have been and still are shaped by war and conflict. Recently shortlisted as one of the top 3 Large Visitor Attractions in England, IWMN celebrates its 5th anniversary this year.

The basic contract provides nearly 1000 hours of manned guarding weekly, with the significant further project work for major events likely. Having started on 1st April the contract runs for four years with a two year extension option.
