Advance Security Officer wins top prize

Advance Security Officer Suzanna Bruce-Smith has received the ‘Best Newcomer Award’ at the BSIA Officer Awards 2008 for the South West region.
 
Suzanna, who works at the GE Bristol Aztec site was shortlisted for the award after demonstrating her knowledge and enthusiasm for her role. Having joined the industry with no prior experience, she very quickly progressed from Support Officer to now Assistant Supervisor and is an invaluable member of the core team. Over the past 18 months, Suzanna has developed her knowledge, awareness and ability in all aspects of security provision and has provided first class support for the migration of the access control system. She is now leading a similar project to produce new access cards for the GE site in Hounslow.   In addition, Suzanna plays an integral role with the induction of all new contractors to site.
 
We are delighted that she has been recognised for her achievements and being awarded this prize is testament to her ongoing commitment to Advance and the client in all that she does. She will now be entered into a national judging phase that will result in an awards ceremony at the BSIA’s annual luncheon on July 16th.
