Advance and Senate Extend Partnership

Advance Security has strengthened its exclusive relationship with Senate Training, the UK’s leading provider of security training and consultancy, by extending its existing contract until 2013.

The partnership between the two companies, which began in 2001, provides Advance Security with exclusive access to a number of courses bespoke to its client base including:

• Shopping Centre Security
• Defence Industry Security
• Media Security
• Warehousing & Distribution Security
• Cell extraction
•  First Aid
• Investigative skills training
• Event management

Senate also provides a comprehensive consultancy service, including Training Needs Analysis, Penetration Tests, Close Protection Service and the development of corporate policies for any Advance clients requiring support. Senate is the only know provider of this service within the security industry.

Paul Keeling, chief executive of Senate, was Deputy Commander of a large police division prior to his retirement from the Cheshire Police after 30 years’ service. He currently advises many public sector and commercial organisations on security issues, in particular the precautions to take against different aspects of terrorism/ activism and how to protect key personnel from kidnapping and extortion. Paul developed this expertise after having been involved in the aftermath of IRA attacks in Manchester and Cheshire during the 1990s.

In addition to his work in counter-terrorism, Paul advises on incident management, emergency and contingency planning, and assists companies to run exercises for their managers and security officers. He has particular experience in developing security strategies for adoption within the retail sector, particularly large shopping centre developments.
