Licensing
Advance Security is an Approved Contractor within the confines of the scheme operated by the Security Industry Authority (SIA). As such we conform to all appropriate quality standards with a minimum of 85% of our workforce licensed and the remaining employees holding the Licence Dispensation Notice as required by the SIA. Internally we operate to a target of 90% of all officers licensed; therefore offering the flexibility to meet any ad-hoc requests from our existing client base and new implementation projects.
Vetting
All new recruits are rigorously vetted to the requirements of BS 7858:2006 as a minimum. However, many of our clients require extensive additional vetting including List X requirements. New recruits typically have their vetting completed within ten days, whilst all transferring personnel under TUPE are re-vetted within the same period from the date of transfer to Advance Security.
Officer Training
In order to provide the very best service possible to our customers we promise to ensure that all Advance Security officers are as skilled, accredited and motivated as possible. Working with our partner, Senate Training Ltd since 2000, we have developed one of the most comprehensive portfolios of training programmes in the industry.
Operational Management
Advance’s track record and reputation for quality service delivery is underpinned by our approach to operational management. With a centralised support infrastructure that allows each manager to spend 80% of their time on site, we deliver results where you need them most.
All operational managers complete a rigorous induction programme, ensuring that they are fully equipped to provide a consistent, professional and efficient service to our customers. In addition we have extended our management training to include a series of assessment centres, and have introduced Institute of Leadership and Management (Level 5) training; a course currently only delivered by Advance within the security industry.
Contract Implementation
At Advance we have extensive experience in implementing and managing high profile, multi-sited accounts across the UK, and for us, the award of a new contract is just the beginning. With an experienced and dedicated National Projects Director in place to oversee the implementation of each new contract, new customers are assured of a smooth transition process with no reduction in provision. What’s more, with significant organic growth achieved over a sustained period, we guarantee no loss of service to our current customers.
Use of IT
At Advance we don’t believe in standing still and our commitment to innovation truly distinguishes us from our competitors. With a requirement for quick access to information, our field based operational management teams use mobile technology to its full potential through the highly innovative use of BlackBerry, enabling real time reports to be completed on site and incidents automatically communicated and tracked through to conclusion.
The development of a strong IT infrastructure has provided clear and precise benefits to our business and we continue to invest in new technology and develop systems which provide a genuine operational benefit.
