Our Team
The Advance Security senior management team has a substantial track record of service innovation and delivery in the industry. The core operational management team is closely supported by our team of directors detailed below:
Richard Bailey – Managing Director
Richard has been with the company for more than ten years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience of working within the industry. As Managing Director, Richard takes full responsibility for the strategic direction, marketing and overall general management of Advance Security. He is instrumental in developing and implementing the organisation's business plans and provides direction on quality management and health and safety policies. In addition Richard heads the Corporate Social Responsibility Steering Group, ensuring that as a business we recognise and develop our responsibility and commitment to the environment, community, workplace and marketplace in which we operate.
Donna Alexander – National Operations Director
Donna has a long standing career within the industry and has worked across a number of different sectors in a corporate security role before joining Advance Security as National Operations Director. She holds ultimate responsibility for the service delivery of all manned security contracts and has a significant interest in the day-to-day and on-going operations of all our customer contracts. Donna is on the committee of ASIS UK, a member of the Security Institute and its events sub committee; she is also member of the London Crime Prevention Association and achieved CPP accreditation in 2007. As an active industry member, Donna ensures that Advance Security and its client base are kept fully up-to-date with any industry developments and innovations.
Chris Palmer – National Projects and Compliance Director
Chris comes from a strong military background and began his career in the industry working in aviation security. As National Projects and Compliance Director, Chris is primarily responsible for the successful implementation of new customer contracts. He oversees the operation of the pre-employment department, incorporating vetting, recruitment, licensing and uniform and provides a central point of contact for all personnel involved in TUPE transfer. He provides management support to our health, safety and quality manager to ensure full compliancy and can also assume full leadership as the Managing Director’s nominated deputy.
Pete Chegwin – Technologies Director
Pete has over 27 years experience within the security technologies industry and was brought in to start the Advance Technologies division and develop integrated security guarding and technologies solutions for our customers. Pete provides leadership and strategic direction to the technologies division and manages a strong team of field based engineers and managers. They have achieved considerable success over recent years through numerous design, installation and maintenance contracts with a large number of blue-chip customers. Pete is also an experienced security technologies consultant and provides updates on new technologies and industry developments to all our customers.

Karen Rogers – HR Director
With over 20 years experience working in Human Resources Management, Karen is an integral member of the senior management team. As HR Director, Karen is ultimately responsible for the management of our comprehensive central HR function and works alongside the senior management team to develop strategic operations and HR procedures. She is responsible for the formulation and implementation of HR policies across the business and has been instrumental in the establishment of a number of successful HR initiatives in recent years. Karen is also a member of our Corporate Social Responsibility Group, a Chartered member of the Institute of Personnel and Development and a member of the BSIA HR Forum.
